ReadTheClause is operated by G Enterprises LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We take your privacy seriously.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Email address and payment information when you create an account or start a trial
- Contract text, documents, and images you upload for analysis
- Deal descriptions and details you enter in the Generate and Negotiate tools
We also collect information automatically when you use the service:
- Usage data including which features you use and how often
- Device and browser information
- IP address and general location
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the ReadTheClause service
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send you account-related communications
- Respond to your questions and support requests
- Understand how the service is used so we can make it better
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your contract documents with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Contract documents and data
Documents and text you upload are processed to provide the analysis you requested. We transmit your document content to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. We do not permanently store the full text of contracts you analyze beyond what is necessary to provide your analysis history if you are a paid subscriber.
We recommend you do not upload documents containing Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal identifiers beyond what is necessary for the analysis.
4. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy and security practices govern the handling of your payment information.
5. Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it longer.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Cancel your subscription at any time

7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption for all data in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Children
ReadTheClause is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
